Christmas has come and gone. I know this sounds crazy, but I do love taking down the tree and putting away the decorations -- feels like a fresh start, you know?
Here's our menu for the week:
Sunday 12/25: Christmas dinner at Mom and Dad's
Monday 12/26: family party (AKA I'm not cooking a thing!)
Tuesday 12/27: pizza with party w/ Dave's high school friends and families
Wednesday 12/28: mustard-coated turkey breast, roasted broccoli and carrots
Thursday 12/29: taco night (niece and nephews here for sleepover)
Friday 12/30: pizza night (nieces here for gingerbread house making)
Saturday 12/31: appetizers
Dave is off for a couple days this week, so I plan to take a couple days off, too. We're laying low, working on some house projects that we've been putting off, and visiting with friends and family. Hard to believe 2012 is just days away! I don't make resolutions, but love hearing about others'.
Cheers to a great week!
Welcome! Hi. We're Dave and Jodi. We've been married for 10 years and we make our home in southern NJ, about halfway between Philadelphia and the Jersey shore.

We've been talking about a blog for a while now to talk about food, wine, life, family, friends, books (or articles, in Dave's case). And we're off!
Christmas is a week from today, so we're in the middle of the same craziness everyone else is: baking, shopping, wrapping, working on a menu for Christmas Eve, wrapping up work for the year, fighting off colds, etc. I sent my packages off to California last week so they'll (knock on wood) arrive on time. (BTW, the price of postage is going up AGAIN in January? What the??) I'm traveling to DC this week for an overnight work trip, too. Good times.
